The Roadstar Daintree 21' is what I would call 'pure glamourvanning'.
Now grab yourself a coffee, sit down and relax, so you can read every detail to appreciate everything this van has to offer.
Roadstar Caravans - who are they?
The very first Roadstar hit the road more than four decades ago and, as its journey began, so did Roadstars. They have continued to invest in expert designers, industry-leading technology and skilled staff to produce one of the country’s safest and respected caravans.
Just over ten years ago the brand changed hands and is now owned by a local family who just ooze for perfection in everything they do.
“We are passionately committed to our vision, our range and our customers, and will continue to push the bounds of innovation to keep the name Roadstar at the forefront of Caravanning”, said Managing Director Ken Nazim.
It’s a promising future when each Roadstar caravan is fitted with the latest in safety, technology and innovation!
It's clear to see how they have become one of the countries most respected brands.
Now let’s talk about this luxurious Roadstar Daintree...
She’s designed and built for off-road adventuring, where luxury has not been compromised.
The overall profile is appealing to the eye while the van itself features a slight departure angle for improve off road clearance, and like all Roadstars it comes with a 3 year warranty for peace of mind.
Some of its features will appeal to the men while others to a woman, and some to both, so I’ve run with a 'His', 'Hers' & 'Both' heading for easy reference.
Guys, it’s optioned with an aluminium box welded frame which is certainly the future with caravan frames, being lighter and stronger than wood and it’s not susceptible to rot.
The undercarriage is AL-KO 3.5T trailing arm suspension, complete with King Springs and shock-absorbers that have been tested and proven to be 40 degrees better tolerance than anything else on the market and all warranted for 3 years including the trailing arms. It has 16” alloy rims with 12” brakes and fitted with quality Grabber AT tyres.
The chassis is made from Australian steel and galvanised hot dipped while the extended A frame is reinforced by adding a T piece under it and the tow hitch coupling is the DO35 for serious rugged towing. The entire cabinetry and benches are premium 100% ply and all C&C cut for a perfect fit each and every time. The drawers are mounted on quality metal runners & frames and have soft close function.
Like most off road vans it has a generator box with hidden gas bottles, however the hinges have their own grease nipples, this prevent stiffness or seizure from dirt and dust.
It also comes with 2 x lockable Jerry can holders as well as the Jerry cans. The hatches through-out the van are high quality marine grade as is the silicon sealant and the bonding agent is nothing short of the best available.
The through front tunnel boot has been completely lined to offer a very water resistant boot that even has a light.
Ladies, the flooring is rubber backed which feels like heaven to walk on and the lounge is hi-grade leather. The interior has both top and bottom LED strip lighting with a soft tone blue/white light.
The oven is fan forced while in the ensuite you’ll find a ceramic vanity and toilet with a one-piece fibre glass shower with shelves, that has a larger than normal base edge which virtually stops any over flooding. The ensuite has a solid sliding key locking door and in there you will find a hidden top load washing machine.
The Daintree kitchen area has exceptional bench space with a stainless steel sink, good-sized flic-mix and a separate water filter. It has a full-size pantry with double slide-out racks for easy access, as well as a slide out pot draw… And finally a caravan with a full-sized broom locker.
The overhead cupboards are handleless, which makes cleaning so much easier.
Nothing but the best for Daintree owners and so you get the latest 224L digital compressor fridge, with left hand opening which offers functionality in the kitchen.
What you should both enjoy is the overhead bed sirocco ceiling fan (very quiet) and for security the van comes with a triple lock security mesh door. A reversing camera is also standard so the wife can start chatting to the neighbours while hubby’s backing the van into position, and just in case he misses, the tail lights are recessed.
It’s got front and rear LED spotlights and the Daintree is equipped with an outdoor shower to wash the days adventure away.
Twin solar panels with 300 watts of energy and MT50 digital battery and controller. It’s also geared for conservative land and park stays due to the grey water system and staying offline for extended times is easy with twin 95 litre freshwater tanks.
It’s fitted with the IBIS 4 reverse cycle air-conditioner which has a soft start feature that suits generators.
There is a good-sized picnic table that has its own light and the outside TV locker is felt lined which confirms the class of this caravan.
They say you ‘Get what you pay for’ but I can honestly say that’s not true with this Roadstar because you get ‘more’ that you pay for with this winner.
